Clinical Quality of Care for FEHB Plans

We also report ratings from OPM on how plans compared for clinical quality of care. These data are from the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS), which are standardized performance measures that indicate how well plans performed for several types of illnesses, conditions, or categories of health care: 

• Breast cancer 
• Diabetes 
• Behavioral health  
• High blood pressure 
• Prenatal and maternity care 
• Bone, muscle, and back problems 
• Asthma 
• Well-child visits 
• Hospital readmissions 

OPM used the same scale to report these results as it did for the customer satisfaction survey results.
