Health costs vary with family size; we take this into account in rating plans. We do not have ratings for families larger than 5 (or for Medicare beneficiaries with covered children) but ratings for families of 5 or Medicare couples are good approximations.

Self Plus One is an enrollment type that allows you to cover yourself and one eligible family member you designate to be covered. In most, but not all cases, Self Plus One has a lower premium and identical benefits. Before making a final decision, you should review our cost comparisons by checking the results for Family of Two to confirm which enrollment category is less expensive.
