Dental Plan Type

There are three different plan types. 

1. There are "official" benefits in some FEHB plans that go beyond an accidental injury benefit.

2. There are "unofficial" benefits in many FEHB plans that cost nothing extra and that also provide significant benefits (see the plan brochure section on "Non-FEHB" benefits).

3. There are FEDVIP plans that require you to pay an extra premium but provide much better benefits than most FEHB plans if you're an average or high dental care user.

If a FEHB plan has "official" and "unofficial" dental benefits they are labeled as "both". We do not display accidental injury benefits offered by FEHB plans.
